Something to think about…

“I’m not going to listen to you, you’re from Singapore.”
- what an American co-worker told me when we had a disagreement about the grammar in a sentence. !!! #@&$%## !!!

Although she didn’t say it with ill intent, she said it in a very matter-of-fact way. It really pissed me off for my abilities to be written off based on my nationality. In the last 5 years spent here in the States, I have found that I write better English than many Americans. I’ve even had Americans tell me that.

If you’re American and you know me, NEVER EVER look down on me based on where I’m from.
